I'm in the middle of trying to consolidate all of my professional work as well as updating this site. One of the projects I'm working on is an alternative portfolio site which will contain some of my more recent personal work as well as recent interface design work. It's not at all functional yet but knowing that is live and out there provides the incentive to...'get er done'.

So I ended up taking the job at EffectiveUI and have been quite happy with the decision since it was made early last year. In the wake of the New Year though and in the last few weeks I've really been diving deeper into introspection - thinking about what I really want out of my career, my life, both at the same time. What can I do in 2008 to frontload those thoughts, desires, and passions that have surfaced?

Stay tuned. ;-)

So I've left textureMedia in order to start my freelancing gig. In the last few days I've been making an effort to get my name out into the local community. I'm now staring at three different job offers. Not freelance job offers. Full-time salary paying health benefit type offers. Vermilion wants me on board as a full-time web designer. effectiveUI is offering financial superiority and an opportunity to work with clients such as Adobe and Ebay as a User Experience Architect. And graphics.net group want's me to offer me a virtual position as Senior Designer. Oh yeah...and Edward Tufte offered to fly me out for an interview!
Gees louise...now what?

The site yawns. Very busy these days. I'm still getting used to the pace at texture.

NEW JOB! I've landed a new job with TextureMedia. After 4 months of interviews with several companies I've decided to accept an offer right here in Boulder. Although I'll miss the research side of working at IBM I'm seriously excited about breaking out of the cube farm and shifting gears with Texture. My new title: Interaction Designer

Icons, buttons, navigation, and all that jazz. By jove, it's a full fledged site! Full site navigation sans the blog is complete and am glad to be done with it. Its' all a little to crispy clean for my overall taste but as a designer I'm used to always nearly missing my perfection mark. Tis ok for now.

My content now spans your monitor (from chrome left) a honking 860px of horizontal goodness. If you're so inclined, and can forgive me for the late reduction in screen size, vote for me at the bi-annual CSS Reboot 06.
